About me
I’m Kris, the artist behind ONYX ART & DESIGN.I create dark and gothic illustrations inspired by nostalgia, iconic films, mythology, music, and storytelling. Using an ink style mainly built on crosshatching and dotwork, I focus on creating pieces that feel atmospheric, emotional, and visually striking. My work spans everything from book characters and cover art to album designs, brand visuals and custom portraits.I started taking my art to the next level during the pandemic, building a strong body of work and bringing it into the real world through comic conventions and art markets. Alongside that, I collaborate with authors, bands, and brands to create artwork that feels personal and memorable.
